My Epic Cosplay Endeavor: Kill la Kill

My two friends, mother, sister, and I have all decided to do something really, really stupid... well, maybe.
We've all decided to cosplay as characters from the anime Kill la Kill. Though, instead of just buying our cosplay, we've decided to make all of them from scratch.
(Because we're all overachievers)
Yep. Five cosplays. (I'll be Ryuko Matoi, in case anyone's wondering)
I know it's gonna be a ton of work, but I think it'll be really fun to do this with the help of my family and friends. I'm expecting Ragyo's (My mother's) and Nui's (My sister's) cosplays to be the most difficult since the wigs are going to need to be custom made and Ragyo's cape is going to be an utter nightmare with all the feathers on it.
(So many feathers! So little time!)
And getting all the materials is going to be a huge hassle. From the feathers, to the fabric, to finding and creating patterns, to all the props and shoes and little details-- even cosmetics! This is gonna be epic.(both figuratively and literally) I'm talking this project is the most ambitious one we've done.
We're planning on working on this project over the course of the summer (the only time most of the people working on this monstrosity of a project are available) so I'm planning on making some sort of min-blog updates on our progress and will make a huge blog post about the creation process and all that jazz.
The deadline is Tekko 2018 and it starts right now!
Also, side note, I'll probably be uploading one blog post a week with mini-blogs every so often.
(Maybe twice a month?)
(And, for any of those who were wondering if my dad was participating... he is-- sort of. He's cosplaying as Sanji Vinsmoke from One Piece.)
