Pittsburgh Pridefest

In celebration of Pride Month, Pittsburgh hosted a week-long event of pride-related festivities. The only event that I was able to make it to (Since I was heading to Harrisburg that weekend and since this was my first year going) was Pridefest.

Pridefest is, essentially, where people give out a lot of free stuff, important information, have fun, and literally condoms galore. (No joke- all the condoms. Ladies, too.)

They had free HIV and STI testing (for those of you who don't know what STIs are... Sexually Transmitted Infections. Google that shit). And there were tons food vendors and even a 300-ft zipline. (You had to buy tickets for it, and I was broke so... no. I would've loved to though.) Samsung had some VR headsets going, which was pretty awesome.

My dad was with me when I went, which was super fun. (His reactions were absolutely priceless. I wish I had pictures.) He kept telling me how, "Yes, Brittany, I lived through the 80's" or something like that, and watching him squirm was mildly entertaining, to be honest.

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures because, really, there wasn't much to photograph but there was a lot to experience and there was a lot to take in.

Probably my favorite moment was when I was at the Berkshire-Hathaway (BH) booth. I had a conversation with a young asian man wearing booty shorts (Totally rockin' it btw). The exchange went something like this:

Me: Hey! How's it going?

BH: Pretty Great!

Me: That's Cool!

BH: Yeah, we're the only real estate company here at PrideFest except for Coldwell Banker.

Me: Oh... I see. Do you not like Coldwell Banker or something?

BH: Yeah, no. They're no fun. No fun at all.

Me: Well, I'll definitely keep that in mind.

When I went over to the Coldwell Banker (CB) table there were two old white men sitting behind a table wearing suits. (It definately wasn't as fun.) When I asked them about Bershire-Hathaway, our conversation sort of went like this:

Me: So, I heard that Bershire-Hathaway doesn't like you all that much.

CB: Well that's okay, we're always in the mood for a little competition.

Me: Oh okay. That's Cool.

I tried flaffel for the first time. I have to say that it was absolutely delicious. (So good!)

And, as always, I managed to stay hydrated. (Drink lots of water!)
