Art is not Mine!

Since I can't think of anything cool to write about and since I haven't done anything interesting recently, I'm gonna make the One Piece crew of my dreams. (a.k.a A crew that I would be proud to be the captain of). This was based on the One Piece crew tag posted on the One Piece Wiki. (I know, really original.)

Before I continue...

Now you can't blame me for not warning you. (Hah!)

Also, this is gonna be a mini-not-so-mini-blog, so buckle up!

There's so many characters (especially powerful ones) in the One Piece world, so I modified the original rules to make it easier (or harder, depending on how you look at it) to make my picks. The rules are as follows:

1.)The crew can have a maximum of twelve (12) members (not including the captain). Six are fighters. Six are support.

2.) No Yonko! Past or Present. (Shanks, Blackbeard, Kaido, Big Mom, Whitebeard, etc.)

3.) Nobody who was a.) Gol D. Roger or b.) on his crew. (That means Silvers Rayleigh, Buggy, and Crocus are out) (And Shanks. Sorry buddy.)

4.) No Marines! (Duh.) (Ex-Marines are allowed *cough* Aokiji *cough*)

5.) There must be at least three (3) non-devil fruit users on the crew or one Fishman (Jinbei!).

6.) The crew must have at least one Shipwright, one doctor, one devil fruit user, and one navigator.

7.) You, as the captain, can have a specific skill (like navigator, doctor, etc.), pick what forms of Haki you can use, and can possess a devil fruit ability. (If a character has already eaten your devil fruit, that person cannot join your crew.)

I am Captain Brittany Kessler of the Dragon Pirates. I possess Haoshoku (Conqueror) Haki, Busoshoku (Armament) haki, and Kenbunshoku (Observation) haki. I have eaten the Nagi-Nagi no Mi (The Calm-Calm Fruit), a Paramecia Devil Fruit, which allows me to create a sound-proof field and to cancel out noises. (Basically, I'm a freaking ninja.) After the last user died, its whereabouts have been unknown. As for my special skill, I am very skilled at wielding my large battle axe (Think Captain Morgan.... very far back).

For my six fighters I chose....

Boa Hancock- First Mate

Bio:

Boa Hancock is the only female Shichibukai and is thought of to be "The most beautiful woman in the world".

She is the, "Snake Princess" of Amazon Lily, an island of only female pirates.

She is the user of the the Mero-Mero no Mi (Love-Love fruit).

Fighting Ability:

Being both a Shichibukai and a Devi Fruit user, Boa Hancock is a very powerful pirate. As one of the three shichibukai to leave the war at Marineford unscathed, she is not someone to be underestimated. She possesses immense physical strength, the likes of which can shatter stone and is able to take down Pacifistas without breaking a sweat. She has the ability to use two kinds of haki: Haoshoku and Busoshoku, which makes her even more powerful. Her devil fruit has the ability to turn anyone who has "dirty thoughts", or is attracted to her, into stone with her signature attack, "Mero Mero Mellow" or by physical contact. Not to mention, she is usually accompanied by Salome, a snake that is good at tracking.

Why I Put Her On The Crew:

The reason why I put Boa Hancock on my crew, more importantly as my first mate, is because she's fucking Boa Hancock! She has fighting skills that, potentially, are on the same level as Doflamingo. (I don't know because I don't think she went all out in Marineford/ we never see her fight.) She has a personality that would mix fairly well with the rest of the crew and, again, she is powerful as hell.

Portgas D. Ace- Son of Gol D. Roger

Bio:

Before his gut was annihilated by Akainu (*cries*) at Marineford, he was the 2nd division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. He is the brother of Luffy and Sabo, adopted by Monkey D. Garp as Gol D. Roger's last wish. He is the (former) user of the Mera-Mera no Mi (Flame-Flame fruit). Sadly, he is dead, but he lives on in my pirate crew.

Fighting Ability:

Aside from being a Logia devil fruit user, Ace has been offered the position of Shichibukai. He refused but that doesn't make him any less powerful. It is shown that his is a capable navigator, as he wears a log pose when we see him in Alabasta. He possesses great physical strength, shown when he was able to take multiple punches from Blackbeard (I Hate You Blackbeard!) and was even able to fight toe-to-toe with Jinbe. His devil fruit doesn't really have an enemy devil fruit (like Enel and Luffy) but it's able to cancel out Smoker's devil fruit. He also has the ability to use Haoshoku haki and Busoshoku haki and carries a knife.

Why I Put Him On The Crew:

Aside from being my absolute favorite character from One Piece, Ace is a powerful fighter and has the bounty (550,000,000) to back it up. He has a likable personality and- y'know what. No. I just wanted him on my crew because he's my favorite character in the series. (And because, Ace...) ('Nuf said)

Marco The Phoenix- Mythical Zoan

Bio:

(I mean, just look at that picture... so badass...) The former first division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, Marco owes his nickname to the Mythical devil fruit abilities which he possesses. One of only two (Sengoku is the other one.) known Mythical Zoan's, Marco's power isn't to be trifled with. He has an appreciation for raw talent, something I can really get behind.

Fighting Ability:

Marco, other than being a mythical Zoan user, could be considered one of the most powerful characters in the One Piece world. He was unaffected by Shank's haki, despite it wiping out the rest of the members on Whitebeard's ship (save for Whitebeard himself). He is an experienced pirate, starting back to the time of Gol D. Roger. He's been shown fighting on a similar level to the three admirals as he was able to hold his own when fighting Kizaru at Marineford. He also has haki abilities (Which ones idk). Like Sanji Vinsmoke, he uses his legs a lot when delivering physical attacks. Not to mention (again) that he has the most powerful type of Zoan devil fruit in the One Piece world.

Why I Put Him On The Crew:

Marco the Phoenix is one the crew because he's awesome (duh.) and because he's a freaking phoenix man. Like, I want his devil fruit so badly, but I think that his long experience of being a pirate will be good on my crew, as will his experience of being a commanding authority on a pirate crew. His laid-back personality really works well with my pirate crew's dynamic.

Roronoa Zoro- The Pirate Hunter

Bio:

Roronoa Zoro is one of the most powerful non-devil fruit users in all of One Piece. Before becoming a pirate, he was a pirate hunter in the East Blue. After Kuina's death when he was still young, he vowed to become the worlds greatest swordsman. He is also one of twelve members in the, "Worst Generation". The three swords he uses are (currently): Shusui, Wado Ichimonji, and Sandai Kitetsu. (Kitetsu is a cursed blade... which is badass)

Fighting Ability:

If being a member of the "Worst Generation" wasn't proof enough, Zoro is insanely powerful. He specializes in santoryu (three sword), ittoryu (One sword), and nitoryu (two sword) styles. He is able to slice pacifistas like butter and sliced Monet in half like she was nothing. He is able to use Busoshoku and Haoshoku haki. He is shown frequently using Busoshoku haki to coat his swords when fighting powerful enemies after the time-skip. (And if being able to control a cursed blade that might kill him hasn't sold you- then I don't know what will.)

Why I Put Him On The Crew:

I debated putting Zoro on my crew for two reasons. One was that he has a personality that I could see not working with the rest of my crew, and the second was that I already had a lot of weapon users. Since he's one of the most powerful non-devil fruit users in One Piece and since there were just too many devil fruit users (and that doesn't bode well if you're out at sea) on my crew I decided to include him.

Baby 5- The Weapon Woman

Bio:

Baby 5 is a former assassin and member of the Donquixote Pirates (until she joined my crew). She was abandoned by her mother as a baby, resulting in her extreme eagerness to please. She ate the Buki-Buki no Mi (Arms-Arms fruit) and can turn parts, or even her whole body, into any weapon imaginable. She is engaged to Sai of the Happo Navy.

Fighting Ability:

As previously mentioned, Baby 5 is able to turn into whatever weapon she wants. Better yet, if she transforms he whole body into a weapon (like a bomb or grenade), she won't take any damage, similar to a Logia user. She also carries a large Gatling gun and flamethrower on her back, though she's hardly seen using them. It is unlikely that she is a haki user as there is no evidence given in the manga. (But, like, she can become a bomb... which gives her the badass points.)

Why I Put Her On The Crew:

Despite Baby 5 not being a prominent character in One Piece, she is still one of the more powerful (female) characters in the One Piece world. She is a proficient fighter, not to mention she is well acquainted with her devil fruit's abilities (Kalifa and Kaku, I'm looking at you...). She may not be insanely powerful like Zoro or Marco, but I feel that she brings a much-needed power balance to the crew.

Wanda- The Canine Mink

Bio:

Wanda is a canine mink who resided on Zou Island (that is, until she joined my crew). She is unprejudiced towards humans, seeing them as minks with less hair. Like a canine, she has a habit of licking people's faces and doesn't seem to mind knawing on a bone or two.

Fighting Ability:

While Wanda could be considered the weakest of my crew's six fighters, she, too, is powerful in her own right. Like all minks, she can use Electro-- the ability to channel electricity through one's body or weapons. Electro users can cause paralysis and burns to their opponents using channeled electric current. Even though she isn't as powerful as Zoro, Wanda is still a highly skilled swords-woman, able to disarm Gifter when she fought him. She also possesses a large amount of stamina, as she is awake during all hours of the day. Her weapon of choice is a cutlass, which she uses to channel Electro through.

Why I Put Her On The Crew:

Wanda was chosen for a similar reason as Zoro. She, being a non-devil fruit user, was needed to bring a but of balance into the crew. I think Wanda is more powerful that what we've seen in the anime and manga, which means she could prove to be a valuable crew member in the long run. Also, I can see Wanda and Nami (who is a support member) being a major power duo.

That wraps up the six fighters on my pirate crew. Moving onto the six support characters....

Trafalgar D. Water Law- The Surgeon of Death

Bio:

Chosen as the doctor of my pirate crew, Trafalgar Law is referred to as part of the"Worst Generation"(formerly the "Eleven Supernovas") and is also known as "The Surgeon of Death". He is a former Shichibukai, only forfeiting the title to ally with the Straw Hats (until he joined my crew, that is) (Also, this is the first time I mentioned the Straw Hats... surprising.) He ate the Ope-Ope no Mi (the Op-Op fruit), which was force-fed to him by Donquixote Corazon (*cries* may he rest in peace). After eating the devil fruit, Law was effectively cured of Amber Lead Syndrome. He is the only person known to have been cured of this disease.

Fighting Ability:

Law has powerful fighting capabilities due to him being a devil fruit user. His signature attacks are "Room" and "Shambles". (If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you really need to stop spoiling the series for yourself.) (If you do, you know what I'm talking about-- no need to explain) He is also an excellent strategist and is known to be crafty. Law is a proficient Busoshoku haki user and is able to bypass Logia defenses. He has almost superhuman endurance- able to withstand having his heart crushed to the point of losing consciousness and recovering shortly after. He was nearly able to fight toe-to-toe with Donquixote Doflamingo when he and Luffy confronted him on the island of Dressrosa. That being said, he isn't called "The Surgeon of Death" for nothing as he is also a phenomenal doctor, shown when he saved Luffy from near-death during the Marineford Arc.

Why I Put Him On The Crew:

Do I even need to explain? This is Law I'm talking about! He's one of the most cynical and badass characters in One Piece! Other than Chopper, Law is the only other notable doctor. (Sorry Chopper. You were too cute for my crew.) Law scores major badass points not to mention being a fairly powerful fighter.

Paulie- The Shipwright from Galley-La

Bio:

(Betcha didn't see this one coming.) Paulie was a shipwright from the infamous ship-building company, Galley-La (until he joined my crew). He has a prudish outlook on how many females (most notably, Nami) dress. He is regularly seen smoking a cigar with his blonde hair slicked back. (There isn't much else to say about him since he was only present during the Water 7 Arc and it's highly unlikely we'll see him again.)

Fighting Ability:

Due to high physical demands of his work at Galley-La, Paulie possesses tremendous physical strength, as he's seen effortlessly throwing members of the Franky Family a long distance away. During Enies Lobby (My absolute favorite arc, seriously), he is seen effectively using ropes to wipe out many enemies at once. He was also able to survive a severe beating from almost all the CP9 members. Paulie is also very agile.

Why I Put Him On The Crew:

You must think I'm crazy for putting Paulie on my crew and that I should've picked Franky instead, but I disagree. By default, Franky is going to be the top choice for any crew's shipwright (I mean, come on, he's a fucking cyborg!), but I believe that Paulie has some serious pirate-ing (is that even a word?) potential. He just has that vibe, y'know? (Also, this is my crew. I do what I want!) I also just really like Paulie's character, so that's why he's on my crew. (Take that Franky!)

Nami- The Navigating Cat Burglar

Bio:

Nami grew up in Cocoyashi Village in the East Blue after being adopted by Bellmere (*cries* may she rest in peace) along with her sister, Nojiko. Her dream is to draw a map of the world. She has an obsession with wealth and will go to great lengths to obtain more belli (berri, whatever you want to call One Piece currency).

Fighting Ability:

Other than her uncanny ability to detect slight shifts in weather patters and her natural navigating abilities (she really needs to help Zoro with that...) Nami is a formidable fighter. Using her Sorcery Clima-Tact (I know that she has since improved the Climatized-Tact, but the official name is unknown), Nami is able to create thunder, rain, tornadoes, roads, and even illusions. Nami is also very cunning an crafty, shown in her uncanny pickpocketing ability that gave her the nickname, "Cat Burglar".

Why I Put Her On The Crew:

Nobody can deny that Nami is the best navigator in One Piece. That sealed her position on my crew from the get-go. Not only that, but since I don't have a designated cook on my pirate crew, Nami is the one who would fill that role. I don't think I need to explain why it's necessary to have a navigator on a pirate crew. I rest my case.

Nico Robin- The Devil Child Archaeologist

Bio:

As the sole survivor from Ohara and the only person alive able to read the mysterious Poneglyphs, Nico Robin is a one of a kind human being. She was a member of the Revolutionary Army during the two time-skip, giving her the nickname, "Light of the Revolution". She is a devil fruit user, having ate the Hana-Hana no Mi (the Flower-Flower fruit) at a very young age. Her dream is to find the Rio Poneglyph and uncover what happened during the mysterious, "Void Century".

Fighting Abilities:

Robin's main fighting prowess comes from her ability to use her devil fruit. She is able to create a clone of herself using her devil fruit after the two year time-skip as well as gigantic limbs. She is a master of escape, having been on the run since she was only 8 years old. She is extremely agile as well. She is also able to spy on people without being noticed by using her devil fruit ability. While she has only been seen carrying a small dagger, Robin possesses a great intellect.

Why I Put Her On The Crew:

In terms of skill set, Nico Robin is one of a kind in the One Piece universe. Her place as my crew's archaeologist is imperative because I really want to know what kind of information the Poneglyphs contain (and curiosity killed the cat).

Viola- The Clairvoyant Strategist

Bio:

Viola, also known as Violet, is a former assassin. She used to be an officer in Donquixote Pirate's Trebol Army (until she joined my crew). She is the daughter of King Riku Dold III and is current heiress to the throne. She ate, and obtained, the abilities of the Giro-Giro no Mi (Glare-Glare fruit). Despite her manipulative nature, she sacrificed her freedom in order to spare her father's life.

Fighting Ability:

Viola's devil fruit gives her the ability to see anything in a 4,000 km (or about 2485.48 miles) (aka a radius 1.2 times bigger than the Great Wall of China) radius with great detail as well as clairvoyance. Her devil fruit also allows her to read and transfer thoughts. Her time spent as an assassin means she's ready to kill when necessary and is skilled in manipulating people. Her primary weapon is a pistol, with which she is a proficient wielder. She has also been shown wielding a dagger. Her strategic abilities are what made her such a valuable asset to the Donquixote Pirates.

Why I Put Her On The Crew:

Viola's devil fruit abilities are what sealed her place on my crew. However, she would be an invaluable asset if I were to need someone to do a little reconnaissance. Not to mention, she'd be an excellent informant for the Future Pirate Queen (and that's me).

And the last member of my crew is....

Jinbei- The Fishman Lifeguard

Bio:

Jinbei, also known as "Knight of the Sea", is a whale shark fishman. He is a former Shichibukai, renouncing the title at Marineford. The World Government thinks of him as a pirate-hating pirate, probably because of how pirates sold fishmen as slaves.

Fighting Ability:

Jinbei is a master of Fishman Karate, being one of the few characters known to use this unique fighting style. Jinbe, despite not being a devil fruit user, was able to survive a 5-day long fight with Ace (*cries*). His being a fishman makes him a capable helmsman as well. He is also a fairly excellent tactician and strategist. He has admitted that he's of no use in land battles, which hints to him being much more powerful when fighting in water (which is a plus). He's been shown throwing a heavy fishman with a single kick, proving his great physical strength. He has a high pain tolerance, taking the "baptizing" at Impel Down without flinching. Like Law, Jinbei is a highly skilled Busoshoku haki user. And, as an added bonus, Jinbei can talk with fish over long distances. (Just when you thought he didn't get any cooler.)

Why I Put Him On The Crew:

With so many powerful devil fruit users on my crew, I had to have someone who could, if needed, be able to save drowning crewmembers while also being able to hold their own in a fight. I think Jinbei is that person (or fishman, I guess). He isn't with the fighters since he is only able to fight at his best when in water-- which limits him quite a bit.

And there you go! That's my pirate crew that, if I could have, would help me become the Pirate Queen.

Until then....
