Fairy Tail is a widely popular anime and manga series created by Hiro Mashima. The series has been on-going since 2007 and the manga, sadly, ended with a total of 545 chapters.
(Mashima, why you do dis?)
I have been a huge fan of the Fairy Tail series for about three and a half years and, I'll admit, it was very hard to say goodbye.
(That's a total understatement. There will be tears-- lots of tears.)
For those of you who are reading this and haven't read the manga and aren't fully up to date, then there will be a spoiler warning right about.....

Now! There, that's better.
(XP)
So, now that I have that out of the way... none of you can blame me if I spoil the series. Hah.
For those of you still here, hi! This is going to be a tribute to Fairy Tail as I look back on how far the series has come and the moments along the way.
(basically an excuse for me to whine about the series ending. Excuse me while I slowly die inside.)
Since Fairy Tail is such a long series, it'd be hard for this to be a Mini-Blog if I included all of the moments and such. So instead, I've decided to do my top ten moments (classy!) throughout both the anime and the manga series.
(So, for this of you who are going to give me heat if I include something non-canon I'm going to say that this is my blog. I do what I want.)
#10- Lucy Heartfilia Joins Fairy Tail

This moment, while it may not be my absolute favorite moment, I still have to give it nostalgia points. This was the moment where Lucy met Natsu and Happy. This is when they became friends and this whole crazy adventure began. This moment really kicked off the entire series.
#9- Brax
Brax is the crackship between Max Alors of the Fairy Tail Guild and, well, a broom. It is

one of the classiest and most passionate romances in the series (I'm being sarcastic,of course.) and I believe it really made the series as a whole.
In all seriousness, tough, this was a classic case of the Fairy Tail fandom silliness. Obviously. (But it was too funny to not put on the list.) I only put it higher on the list because memes are a wonderful thing.
#8- Dragon Force

I could have put something really lame in this spot but I remembered one of the coolest things about being a dragin slayer-- Dragon Force. it's kinda like a power boost on steroids and, I think, it fits really well in this spot on the list. The low place on the list shouldn't undermine their power, though. Dragon Force is one of the more powerful types of magic in the series, it's defineatly not the most powerful, but it is up there. All of the moments where Dragon Force was involved would be much higher on this list, but alas, I didn't have enough room for them.
#7- Laxus' Goodbye

This scene (oh god, here come the waterworks...) is one of the most emotional moments in the entire series. It is one of forgiveness, love, family, and all of the tears. It is such a powerful moment.
Before this moment, I really hated Laxus Dreyar, with a passion. He was such a brat and a gigantic asshole to Natsu and he belittled everyone in the guild. In general, he made you feel bad, like there was something wrong with you. This one scene really put Laxus into perspective as a character and he really grew as a person in the one singular moment. (Also, I stopped hating him. That one moment made me stop hating him.) I don't care how many time I've watched this part of the anime, but I will never not cry when I see it.
#6- The Key of the Starry Sky Arc

I absolutely loved this arc! (Even if it was filler. Bite me.) If you're one of those anime watchers who skips the filler arcs, then I recommend that you go back and watch this arc, I don't care just do it. I really thought at one point that Fairy Tail was in the wrong and that they might actually be the villans in certain parts. Michelle and Lucy's relationship was just heartbreaking and the fact that they wrapped it up with a moment between Natsu and Lucy just made my heart melt. I couldn't help but love the writing and the drama in this arc. Also, Dan trying to woo Lucy's affections was too funny!
#5- Natsu vs. Sting and Rogue

This entire fight during the Grand Magic Games between Natsu, Sting, and Rogue is absolutely awesome.
(Literally one of Natsu's most badass moments in the series)
Yes, I know that Natsu is a little OP (Okay, a lot OP) in the fight, but you can't deny that it's a really epic fight. Like that Unison Raid that Sting and Rogue did together was so cool!
(Sorry, I'm turning into Jason. Oops.)
#4- The Loke Arc

This arc is actually only three episodes in the anime and five chapter in the manga. Despite this, it is one of my all-time favorite moments. It's emotional, it's a great point of character development for both Lucy and Loke, and it really showcases how powerful Lucy can be. Before this point in the series Lucy didn't really show her full power.
Only recently in the series did we understand how powerful a celestial mage has to be to summon only three spirits. (You can summon the Celestial Spirit King) and that was her hundreds of chapters after this point.
In this arc Lucy summons all eight of her sprirts that she had at the time. EIGHT! Even if it was only for a minute, that still is pretty freaking awesome.
(Also it made me cry, so there.)
#3- The Three Grand Fairy Spells

Okay, since I couldn't pick one instance where one of these spells show up. There was Tenrou Island, The Grand Magic Games, Phantom Lord, and this moment...

I'm sorry! I know, I know! I'm sad too. But he was ex-machina-ed alive, so it's all good now. Basically any arc or moment that included these can be put here on the list. I didn't have enough room to put them on this list but I didn't want to exclude them from it entirely. Cana's actions with fairy law during the Grand Magic Games were awesome and Makarov's (sort of) final action for the sake of his children were just too heart breaking to not include on this list. So, here we are.
#2- Lucy vs. Tartaros

This was the ultimate show of Lucy's power. After waiting for so long (since the Grand Magic Games, I believe) for a one-on-one battle against Lucy, this was it. This battle was dynamic, emotional (Aquarius! No!), and everything I'd hoped it would be, and more. Lucy summons the Celestial Spirit King in exchange for breaking Aquarius' key. There was a part later in the manga series where Aquarius asks Lucy to find her key. In the end we never see this happen and there is no indication that, during the final time skip, she had done so.
#1- Natsu is E.N.D.

Okay, this moment- while it may not have been an overall happy moment- it was memorable. I didn't expect it at the time. In a way this reveal explains a lot about how Natsu got his power and the pink color of his hair. (Case in point: Wendy's hair turning pink when next to FACE) What made this #1 for me was the implications this moment had for the rest of the manga. It was a huge game changer for everybody and I think it's one of the reasons Natsu trained for that year.
This blog post has been edited since the manga series has ended but I didn't change any of the top 10 list.
